On the occasion of the Expo 2020 Dubai, ALISEI (Advanced Life Science in Italy) chose with Village Gulf Hospitality Services to plan and manage their experience in Dubai. ALISEI is a Technological Cluster set up to encourage interaction between multidisciplinary research, pharmaceutical and biomedical industries, and public sector health bodies to boost research and innovation in Italy.

The Village Team had the opportunity to visit the site of Expo 2020 Dubai and experience first-hand one of the thematic Pavilions, Terra, the Sustainability Pavilion. Designed by UK-based Grimshaw Architects, Terra is meant to meet the highest available accreditation for sustainable architecture – LEED Platinum certification.

Expo 2020 Dubai is gearing up for an unforgettable experience – and so are we: get ready for what’s to come!
Despite the pandemic, Expo 2020 Dubai is gearing up to help shape a post-pandemic world and create a better future for all after a two-thirds majority of Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) Member States voted in favour of postponing the next World Expo by one year.
The global mega event will now run from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022, a delay that allows all participants to safely navigate the impact of COVID-19, and allows the World Expo to focus on a collective desire for new thinking to identify solutions to some of the greatest challenges of our time.
At a Executive Council of Dubai meeting it has been directed by HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum that vaccines will be provided to all official representatives of the countries participating in the global event to ensure a comprehensive and safe experience for all participants, visitors and employees.
While preparing for the official inauguration in October, Expo 2020 Dubai has opened its gates to a few lucky people who had the chance to experience some of the pavilions.
The Expo Pavilions Premiere ended last week after a safe and successful three-month run that proved Expo 2020 is ready to welcome the world when it opens on 1 October.
