It’s been a few days since the spectacular closing ceremony of Expo 2020 Dubai, but its legacy continues within us, Village, and within the 24 million people form all over the world that have visited it. It has been an incredible journey and we are so proud to have been a part of it.

On January 31, 2021, the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai hosted the Health Innovation Global Forum: science, innovation and inclusiveness are the pillars of Alisei Life Science Cluster’s new approach to public health and the topic was addressed by the foremost representatives of the sector. As a partner of ALISEI in Dubai, Village has designed the entire experience for the ALISEI Cluster, including all the event’s speakers.
On April 6 Village joins Peace and Sport to celebrate the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSPDP).
As the world faces such difficult and trying times due to the global pandemic, we believe it is extremely important to stand together against the challenge and fight through global solidarity and unity. The current circumstances are asking unprecedented strength and effort from us, but we are sure that sport, thanks to the ideals of equity, unity and peace that it holds within itself, can be the key to start again stronger than before, once the emergency has ended.
To celebrate the IDSDP, Peace and Sport has created an initiative called #WhiteCard, and Village responds to this call with pictures from Milan Junior Camps (2018) in Bergamo, Italy – which is deeply meaningful, due to Bergamo being one of the most affected cities in the Country by COVID-19 – and Astana, Kasakhstan.
These pictures are testimony to what sport has done and can do: educate and unite people from all over the world. As H.S.H Prince Albert of Monaco said “The message behind the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, celebrated on April 6, comes into full play in the current context. Using sport to protect our planet and reinforce our bonds with each other“.
Today we stand – virtually – with Peace and Sport and everyone celebrating worldwide to bring a message of hope, knowing that our strength lies in our unity. In this sense, Village commits to continue working, in view of what’s to come.
“Innovation in Action” was the theme of six days of meetings, conferences and top-level networking at SportAccord Convention 2017 in Aahaus in Denmark.
Its aim is to drive positive change internationally and create a great opportunity of engagement and connection among rights holders, organizing committees, cities, press and media, businesses and other organizations involved in the development of sport.
The SportAccord Convention’s stakeholders represent more than 100 International Sports Federations and organize their Annual General Assemblies at the SportAccord Convention.
We debated and shared opinions and know-how on how the sport world can evolve globally in the future.
A collaborative spirit between key decision-makers in sport has characterized the Convention and we discovered the best practices from industry thought-leaders.
We are ready for new challenges in sport events, thanks to this great opportunity at SportAccord Convention 2017.
